Valerie McElvy

Valerie McElvy “Miss Val” is the founder, operator and director of We’re at YOUR Service. She lives and breathes community service. Valerie originally founded and operated We’re at YOUR Service from 1988 - 1993, when the organization operated as a craft, antique and office services emporium.

Prior to re-launching We’re at YOUR Service in 2021, Valerie worked at the Franklin Center of Beaver County in various capacities for nearly 20 years. She was the Director and Field Coordinator for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and the originator of the Professional Outfitters and Variety Shoppe program. Valerie was also the Property Manager for the organization.

Her many and varied community service activities and experiences made Valerie realize her dream of operating We’re at YOUR Service as a needs assistance and job preparation resource for Beaver County residents. Some of Valerie’s experiences are listed here.

There’s a lot more, but this shows the vast extent of Valerie’s community service over many decades. Her love for helping others is the momentum behind We’re at YOUR Service.
